Paradise floating hotel in Dénia

Costa Blanca News (North Edition) - - NEWS -

A 'floating' hotel like those seen off the Pacific island of Bora Bora has been unleashed in Dénia port by a start-up firm – although it is not yet open to guests.

Mano de Santo, along with the KMZero Open Innovation Hub – part of the Martínez Group – and Dénia yacht club worked together on this paradisestyle accommodation prototype, helped by top multi-nationals including Würth, Technal, Simon, Guardian Glass and Gira. The 'Punta del Mar' hotel is a first for the Mediterranean, but not in Europe – this honour is held by the Palafitte on Switzerland's Lake Neuchâutel. Guided tours of the amphibious hotel are due to be launched, although it is not clear whether it will stay in Dénia or end up based elsewhere along Spain's Mediterranean coast.
