Joining forces on security matters
A GENERAL security meeting will be held next Tuesday, December 4 in Benissa, with subjects being covered such as gender violence and animal poisoning.
Commencing at 10.00, it will be chaired by Abel Cardona, mayor of Benissa, and María Araceli Poblador, sub-delegate of Alicante provincial government. The order of the day will deal with the co-ordination of the different security forces of the state, as well as the balance of management in cases of canine poisoning which occurred in 2017 and 2018.
Participants also include the Valencian security agency, local and provincial Guardia Civil, local police and civil protection, in addition to a spokesperson from each political group from Benissa. Another subject will be the ‘Protocol Coordination Table on Gender Violence’ which has laid dormant since 2014 - its reactivation will be addressed.
The objective of the protocol is to offer a fast coordinated response in suspected cases of gender violence.
The sub-delegate, local police, social services, the Denia women’s centre, the victims of crime office, Benissa health centre, legal aid services and a representative from Denia court will all be in attendance.
