Join­ing forces on se­cu­rity mat­ters

A GEN­ERAL se­cu­rity meet­ing will be held next Tues­day, De­cem­ber 4 in Benissa, with sub­jects be­ing cov­ered such as gen­der vi­o­lence and an­i­mal poi­son­ing.

Com­menc­ing at 10.00, it will be chaired by Abel Cardona, mayor of Benissa, and María Araceli Poblador, sub-del­e­gate of Al­i­cante pro­vin­cial gov­ern­ment. The or­der of the day will deal with the co-or­di­na­tion of the dif­fer­ent se­cu­rity forces of the state, as well as the balance of man­age­ment in cases of ca­nine poi­son­ing which oc­curred in 2017 and 2018.

Par­tic­i­pants also in­clude the Va­len­cian se­cu­rity agency, lo­cal and pro­vin­cial Guardia Civil, lo­cal po­lice and civil pro­tec­tion, in ad­di­tion to a spokesper­son from each po­lit­i­cal group from Benissa. An­other sub­ject will be the ‘Pro­to­col Co­or­di­na­tion Ta­ble on Gen­der Vi­o­lence’ which has laid dor­mant since 2014 - its re­ac­ti­va­tion will be ad­dressed.

The ob­jec­tive of the pro­to­col is to of­fer a fast co­or­di­nated re­sponse in sus­pected cases of gen­der vi­o­lence.

The sub-del­e­gate, lo­cal po­lice, so­cial ser­vices, the Denia women’s cen­tre, the vic­tims of crime of­fice, Benissa health cen­tre, le­gal aid ser­vices and a rep­re­sen­ta­tive from Denia court will all be in at­ten­dance.
