Costa Blanca News (North Edition) - - LOCAL SPORT -

La Vila played a good match last Sunday despite being beaten at the Pepe Rojo pitch in Valladolid against Silverstorm El Salvador by 36-14 in a match with colorful sketches and unpredictable bursts.

The powerful Silverstorm El Salvador team made La Vila players suffer during the 80 minutes, but it is true that the men led by Juan Carlos Pérez were faced with a difficult opponent playing a very solid game.

In the first half it was the Silverstorm who opened the score board taking advantage of an unlucky La Vila pass, where Vicente Del Hoyo kicked the ball towards the touchdown line and Oliver Bryant made the touchdown.

The Vila players were quick to react. Ramiro Alvarez kicked a long ball towards winger Miguel Lainz, who made a clean catch and scored the first five points for La Vila, Jara then transformed the pass and it was an equal 7 score for both teams.

Later the Vila defense worked hard to stop the Vallodolid team's hefty strikers led by their New Zealand lad Walter Fifita and Samoan centre player, Nuu Junior Nuu, without forgetting their powerful forwards.

During the second half the score remained unchanged for 23 minutes, a sign of the of both teams impressive stamina, at this stage either could who have won the game, but Silverstorm managed a final score in favour of 36-14.

With this the Valladolid team positions itself as leader of the Heineken League ahead of the VRAC Quesos Entrepinares and Sanitas Alcobendas by one point.
