Prescription blunder
The most curious story of the week was that of the unnamed female patient who took erectile dysfunction cream for a dry eye problem. Apparently, prescription mix-ups are commonplace but nobody, neither the GP, the dispensing chemist or even the patient herself sought to question why a woman was being given a cream for a male-only problem. Even if the packaging of the two medications is similar surely reading the instructions would give a big hint that this was not the potion for her. It should’ve raised a few eyebrows at least.
