Fine for infected 82-year-old who walked out of hospital
National Police in Benidorm have fined an 82-year-old man who left the IMED private hospital last Sunday, having been tested positive for the coronavirus. He walked out of the hospital without a discharge and so police were alerted, they found the gentleman at home two hours later. He agreed to return to the hospital voluntarily and an ambulance was called for the transfer. Both he and his son were issued with fines for failing to comply with the current state of emergency. Suggestions have been made that the gentleman was British and suffering from dementia, but this has not been confirmed.
