Jailed for party fracas

TWO MEN and two women were arrested for holding a party in a home in Torrevieja during the lockdown.

The Guardia Civil reported on Wednesday that officers went to the property to remind the revellers of the state of emergency restrictions and asked to see their documentation. However, they refused and one of them threw a punch. When the officers tried to arrest the young man, his friends joined in the melee and the officers had to call for reinforcements.

Subsequently the four suspects were detained for resisting arrest, disobeying the security forces and causing injuries. A judge ordered that two of the suspects be jailed on remand.
