Animal shelters being maintained

ANIMAL shelters have been temporarily closed to visitors and access is limited to a few workers and volunteers so that the animals can be fed and the facilities kept clean.

However, the charities’ social media pages are still being updated to help find the owners of lost pets and to encourage adoptions of animals when the state of emergency is over.

Los Infiernos dog shelter can be contacted via Facebook at Los Infiernos Perrera Supporters.

Torrevieja’s municipal shelter can be contacted via Facebook at Concejalia de Bienestar Animal Torrevieja.

In Orihuela the dog shelter run by Asoka at San Bartolomé can be contacted via Facebook at Asoka – Orihuela.
