La Vila rugby de­ter­mined to fight

The new year for La Vila rugby club has be­gun with a few changes to the team line-up.

Due to in­jury Lau­taro Ál­varez has now been op­er­ated on and will be ini­ti­at­ing re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion for his ACL (an­te­rior cru­ci­ate lig­a­ment).

Bush re­turns to Eng­land where he will con­tinue re­cu­per­at­ing from his le­sion.

Also re­turn­ing home are Martín Visuara to Ar­gentina and Cameron Ham­man to South Africa.

La Vila has de­cided to strengthen their team with Fer­nando Díaz and Emanuel Molina for the sec­ond round of the ‘Liga Heineken’. The two play­ers have al­ready made their first ap­pear­ance play­ing with the team against Com­plutense Cis­neros on La Vila’s home ground and they will also play when they visit San Amaro to play against UBU Colina Clínic.

Hernán Quirelli and his team are de­ter­mined to fight to to stay in the league and the first match of 2019 is this Sun­day, Jan­uary 13 is at Lan­dare Toki against Her­nani Club Rugby Elka­rtea.

The two teams are equal with 22 points. La Vila is cur­rently in 9th place and Her­nani in 10th.
