La Nucía modernises its industrial estate
Improvements for L'Alberca include fibre optics and security cameras
By Shelley Liddell WORK to improve and modernise La Nucia's L'Alberca industrial estate commenced on Tuesday.
The cost of the improvements comes to €861,470 and will be cofinanced by the council and the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACAE).
The work will include installing fibre optic cable throughout the whole estate, installing a security camera system connected to the local police station, improving street lighting, installing fire hydrants and recycling bins.
Green areas will be improved, roads will be tarmacked and horizontal and vertical roadsigns will be replaced. A bicycle lane throughout the estate is also on the cards, as well as improvements in the drinking water network for the area.
The town hall will be creating a web platform (poligono.lanucia.es) to provide information about the estate.
All businesses located there will be listed, and companies wishing to access the platform to include their details or photos can do so using 'google mybusiness'.
When the platform is completed, it will be possible to do a virtual 360º tour of the L'Alberca industrial estate.
