PUNCH INTRODUCES A NEW THICK RING GAUGE IN THE BRAND'S PORTFOLIO

According to the saying “the good, if brief, is twice as good”. For those who like short-burning, thick ring-gauge premium cigars, Habanos S.A. is set to launch its Short vitola (ring gauge 50 x 120 mm long), which strengthens the portfolio of the centenarian and now renewed Punch brand.

Created back in the 19th century by Mr. Manuel Lopez de Juan Valle in an effort to compete against the growing British market , Punch is one of the oldest Habano brands and is presently rolled at La Corona Rolled Cigar Factory.

The cases still show Mr. Punch, the clown used as a symbol of a popular cartoon at the time, and the pictures of the making process of similar Habanos.

The new vitola has been used in Ediciones Regionales in different market and it has been highly acclaimed, with the peculiar taste of this brand, midstrength cigars, “Totally Handmade with Long Filler” and a blend made up of filler and binder leaves from Vuelta Abajo*, in the Pinar del Río* province, Cuba*.
