All of Russia in Just Three Days
RUSSIA'S LARGEST INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FAIR IS GETTING STRONGER AS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT AND VISITED EVENTS WITHIN THE CALENDAR OF TRAVELORIENTED EXHIBITIONS WORLDWIDE. THIS YEAR'S EDITION UNDERSCORED THIS ASSERTION
When it comes to tourism, there's no doubt that Russia can flex its muscles as both an outbound market and travel destination. No wonder a country like Russia boasts one of the world's top five tourism fairs with massive turnouts of exhibitors and buyers alike.
But that's not just the only reason that makes MITT a great tourism-oriented trade show. The exhibition that comes around to Moscow with the early break of spring, reinvents itself every year and is never short of surprises and new developments. The figure for this year's gathering speak volumes of how successful MITT has turned out to be.
This year, MITT covered some 40,000 square that embraced 1,523 exhibiting companies from 67 countries. For three days of work, the exhibition was visited by 22,289 people from 92 countries, almost 20,000 of them (19,962) hailing from 80 regions of Russia.
The traditional meetings of colleagues from the tourism industry were held, new business acquaintances and networking took place. The work on the stands was complemented by vivid presentations of the tourist product, which added a national flavor to the presented recreation areas.
In the same breath, the exhibition sparked great interest at the state and interstate level. On March 12, the opening ceremony of MITT was attended by foreign delegations, official representatives of state bodies of Russia, the management of large companies, and heads of tourist associations. The event was attended by ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions of Italy, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Croatia, Jordan, Israel, South Africa, Zambia, Myanmar, Ecuador, Indonesia, Finland and many other countries.
The 2019 Partner Country, Bahrain, for the first time joined the foreign exposition of the exhibition, presenting hotels and host companies to the attention of Russian travelers. The sponsor of the opening ceremony, Oman, also presented its tourist opportunities.
Year after year, special attention is paid to the expanded business program of the exhibition. This time around, MITT's program included events of completely new formats - from interactive foresight and pitch sessions to practical workshops, and new speakers and new topics made the content of events even more powerful and interesting.
In 2020, the 27th Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition MITT will be held from March 17 to March 19. Next year, MITT will held for the first time at the new and modern Crocus Expo site, the largest in Eastern Europe. The change of sites will improve the quality of exhibition services, as well as guarantee a more comfortable stay for visitors and attendees on the days of events.
