THE EMPRESA DERIVADOS DEL ACERO, WITH 30 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, STANDS OUT FOR TAKING ON ITEMS THAT NO OTHER INDUSTRY ACTUALLY CAN

The only one of its kind in the country, the Empresa Derivados del Acero has been tasked over the last three decades following the merge of several factories, with manufacturing and marketing wire byproducts, metal mechanical items, pieces, components and accessories for industrial, domestic and agricultural use, let alone in the building sector and the making of non-standardized elements which are highly coveted in Cuba.

Located in the province of Camagüey, this company, attached to the Ministry of Industry (MINDUS), is proud of the fact that one of its Base Business Units (UEB is the Spanish acronym), the UEB Metalúrgica in the municipality of Nuevitas, was inaugurated on February 10, 1963, by Commander Ernesto Che Guevara.

Attached to the Grupo Empresarial de la Industria Sideromecánica (GESIME), this entity was among the first of its kind chosen to enter the 2003 Entrepreneurial Upgrade, among other reasons, for its deep knowledge of the market, the expertise of its employees and the value of its products.
