The brand chosen to commemorate the "Year of the Ox" according to the Chinese lunar calendar, has been Hoyo de Monterrey, which owes its origin to the like-name plantation located in San Juan y Martinez, in the heart of Vuelta Abajo*. The Hoyo de Monterrey plantation is one of the most famous top-of-the-line tobacco plantations, a symbol of the richness of the Cuban land for making Habanos.

Hoyo de Monterrey's "Primaveras" is an exclusive production and in limited quantities, to commemorate the Chinese New Year. This product is presented in a special box of 18 cigars made "totally by hand with long filler", following a careful selection of the leaves for wrapper, filler and binder from the most prestigious area of Vuelta Abajo*, in the region of Pinar del Río*, Cuba*.
