Habanos

Moroccan Tea and Cohiba Half Century

-

Launched in 2016 as the latest member of the 1492 line family, Cohiba Medio Siglo, ring gauge 52 and 102mm long, has been a resounding success in the global market, being considered one of the best-selling Cohibas today.

With a perfect construction and a beautiful silky colored wrapper, this small tobacco, prior to lighting, gives us notes of hay, coffee beans and croissant, and then expresses flavors of caramelized sugar, wood, leather and toasted bread at the beginning of the smoke.

Among the most consumed beverages in the Middle East, Moroccan tea is undoubtedly a must everywhere. Prepared with green tea and abundant mint leaves, when mixed with hot water its aroma overflows with freshness. Moroccan tea can be served with different levels of sugar, according to the consumer's preference. In my case, I have requested it with a little sugar so as not to cover the natural flavors of the mint and not to detract from the goodness of the Habano.

The woody and herbal notes of the tea give the cigar a very harmonious complement and intertwine in a very pleasant way as the smoke progresses. With a medium intensity, this cigar shows notes of black pepper, cocoa and damp earth.

The puff of the Habano is generous and when we approach the end and its flavor is enhanced by notes of wood, leather and a delicate bitterness in the aftertaste, the sugar of the tea and the refreshing mint notes make this very elegant pairing possible to be enjoyed, without a doubt, after a hearty Arabian breakfast.
