The Melia White House is a London classic. Enjoy all it has to offer.

Just a stone’s throw away from Regent’s Park in Marylebone and the legendary home of Sherlock Holmes (221B Baker Street) stands the Hotel Meliá White House. Located in a listed building from 1932, it’s a second home for travellers who regularly visit London, and is also one of the company’s European flagships.

The Meliá White House is known for its continuous innovation, and this year it’s revealing exciting updates to The Level: a programme that truly goes the extra mile in personalised customer service, both in premium rooms and in common areas with exclusive access.

The experience begins with a private check-in and continues throughout the guest’s stay in London, meeting their every need: from securing a reservation in a restaurant that’s been fully booked for weeks, to creating a cultural itinerary that perfectly suits guests’ interests—all carried out by the members of the Guest Experience team. ‘Guests can think of our LEVEL service as a personalised solution provider, through which our Guest Experience department can attend to their every need, from private transfers and shopping experiences to arrangements for travel or special events’, explains Gioele Camarlinghi, General Manager of the Meliá White House hotel.

The programme includes other amenities, such as 24hour room service, a business centre with secretarial services, 24-hour laundry and dry cleaning services (with next day delivery) and the packing and unpacking of luggage. Not to mention the best rooms in the hotel, from Executive rooms to Suites (Junior, Master and Presidential).

The Level area—which is accessible to all guests within this category—was recently remodelled, and now boasts a modern and sophisticated look. Whether their stay is for business or pleasure, guests feel truly at home with the best service, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. In the multipurpose room there are communal tables for work and spaces designed for small private meetings. There’s also time for leisure, thanks to extensive culinary offerings and an exclusive activities programme.

The culinary choices on offer change according to the hour. A breakfast buffet starts off the morning, while tea, coffee and international snacks are served throughout the day. ‘Each evening, Executive Chef Achille Travaglini and his team create an array of exciting international hot and cold appetisers. Every week The Level has a collection of gastronomic delights for guests to discover. Should they wish to sample something heartier, dishes from the chef ’s signature menu are available for an additional cost. Guests can also explore The Place Restaurant; this casual dining space serves fresh, seasonal Mediterranean cuisine, and is the perfect spot for enjoying a relaxing drink and some fantastic food’. But that’s not all: ‘If you’re looking for something a little more British’, adds Camarlinghi, ‘be sure to visit Dry Martini London, where classic dishes are paired with extraordinary cocktails from our mixologists, who can bring to life anything you desire’.

For those who want to watch their health while away from home, or who have an intolerance or allergy, there are specific health programmes available upon request. These guests may benefit from the Balance by Meliá programme, which not only serves fresh, seasonal products, but also includes fitness classes, as well as educational workshops that advise on nutrition and sleep.

The Level offers additional services for guests travelling with their families. ‘ For those travelling with children, our Kids & Co programme makes kids the star of the show. The various spaces create a sense of tranquillity and provide the perfect location for a family to relax together ’, explains Camarlinghi. Among its amenities are a private check-in area, special rooms with facilities and services for the whole family and an entertainment programme that’s suitable for all ages. ‘Our Kids & Co club is ideal for parents seeking some rest and relaxation. Leave your child at the dedicated area, and a staff member will keep them entertained with games, drawing and arts & craft workshops. Parents can then relax in The Level Lounge or the Dry Martini cocktail bar ’.

Art lovers will enjoy the Le Dame Art Gallery, a permanent hotel exhibition featuring an inspiring collection of contemporary art from emerging artists. The collection is exhibited in the lobby and The Level Lounge, and has been a top spot in the neighbourhood for several years.

‘The Dame Art Gallery has grown significantly over the last five years’, explains Camarlinghi. ‘It first started as a means of social responsibility, and is part of Meliá’s goal of offering a programme of cultural events, working on community projects and enhancing the guest experience’.

Recently, the artwork has expanded into other areas of the hotel. ‘The collection now occupies many public areas and meeting room spaces, plus a gallery space in one of the meeting break-out areas’. The exhibition schedule changes regularly and is open to everyone, whether they ’re a hotel guest or not.

Together with Le Dame Art Gallery, the Meliá White House also plays host to ARTROOMS, an international art fair that’s now in its fifth year. ‘ARTROOMS is an interactive showcase of today ’s most thoughtprovoking, mind-bending and awe-inspiring artists. It is the first art fair to offer free exhibition space to independent artists. Each artist takes over a bedroom, which becomes their own space to develop for the duration of the event. The fair attracts exhibitors and guests from around the world, and creates a platform to celebrate differences through art’.
