The Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand has chosen the wellknown cosmetics brand Rituals as its provider of guest amenities for their hotels in Spain and the EMEA region. Inspired by the wisdom and ancient traditions of Asian culture, Rituals has designed a range of exclusive products for Meliá hotels. The products are based on the ‘Ritual of Dao’ collection, which contains soothing ingredients like White Lotus, a symbol of purity and spiritual growth in the Far East, and Yi Yi Ren, which has been used for centuries in China for its nutritional and medicinal properties.
‘Ritual of Dao’ is based on an ancient Chinese philosophy that seeks to achieve the perfect harmony between Yin and Yang. It comprises shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and body and hand lotion. The line is completed with foaming gel and deodorant available in the suites.
The collaboration with Rituals was established due to the brand’s innovative character and commitment to the environment, which is based on the three pillars of reducing, reusing and recycling. Rituals is working to ensure that all their containers are 100% recyclable by 2023, and are already offering eco-friendly packaging options for creams, soaps and air fresheners. Rituals also uses FSC-certified or recycled paper to package their products. In fact, all wood used in its product packaging has a PEFC certification and is sourced from sustainably managed European forests.
