Hsenid conducts Inspires 2012 programme

-

hsenid Software International celebrating its 15th year being at the forefront of the software industry, embarked on a unique initiative for its international calendar programme for the new year. hsenid Inspires 2012 was a programme to invite the children of hsenid’s clients’ employees to make their art the face of hsenid’s international calendar that is distributed globally amongst 10,000 contacts worldwide to over 24 countries in 18 industries.

The programme was conducted in the form of a competition with the best pieces of art to be printed on the calendar covering various topics that are of immense social, cultural and technological value in today’s context and the children realizing it to the fullest by bringing out their best portrayals of ‘Earth my only home, let’s protect it’ for the 14-15-year-old category, ‘My world when I’m 21’ for the 12-13-year-old category, ‘How I respect my elders’ for the 10-11-yearold category and ‘The day I enjoyed the most’ for the 8-9-year-old category. It was an exciting response from the children of hsenid’s clients locally and internationally including the SOS Children’s Village from whom there was a very encouraging response, with entries received from the far outskirts of Nuwara Eliya as well as from countries such as Singapore, Kenya, Nigeria and from all levels of employees – from the branches up to the children of senior managers. The paintings are displayed on the hsenid Inspire 2012 gallery website (http://inspire2012.hsenid.com) for the public, as well as the children’s family and friends to admire and appreciate their piece of creativity.

The competition had a unique weighted judging process with the expert in the field Sibil Weththasinghe providing her recommendations for the best of the paintings as well as the children of hsenid’s employees choosing their own likings. A combined ranking scheme saw Lasmitha Samaraweera from Kandy winning the 14-15-year-old category, Ilma Iqbal from Negombo winning the 12-13-year-old category, Tharindu Jayatissa from Kegalle winning the 10-11-year-old category and Enuk Dabare from Borelasgamuwa winning the 8-9-year-old category.

The winners were rewarded at an award ceremony held recently in the presence of Founder and CEO of hsenid Software International, Dinesh Saparamadu, who remarked: “This was a special initiative to engage with our clients’ employees and to showcase the talents of their loved ones. We are delighted with the reach and responses received for this programme and appreciate the time taken and their enthusiastic participation. This is one of a series of initiatives to mark hsenid’s 15th year in the ICT industry showing our gratitude to our clients and key stakeholders in our businesses.
