‘DEYATA KIRULA 2012’ BRIGHTENS UP OYAMADUWA
Concurrent to ‘Deyata Kirula’ 56 major rural electrification projects and 130 electricity extensions have been initiated at a cost of Rs. 700 million for the benefit of more than 6000 families in Oyamaduwa in the Villachchiya Division of the Anuradhapura district.
The massive development project would cover an area of 26 Km with a power supply of 33,000 Vots, CEB sources said.

The permanent building erected inside the grounds at a cost of Rs. 12.6 million to house the stall of the CEB would in due course be used as a service centre of the CEB for consumers of the Oyamadu area.
It had been projected to provide electricity supply to about 6000 families who are without power, under the direction of the subject minister in accordance with the development programmes initiated in the Anurad- hapura District.forty nine transformers are to be installed under this gigantic proposal, out of which work on 29 had been completed. Overall 85% of the work on this project is now completed.
