‘DEYATA KIRULA 2012’ BRIGHTENS UP OYAMADUWA

Concurrent to ‘Deyata Kirula’ 56 major rural electrific­ation projects and 130 electricit­y extensions have been initiated at a cost of Rs. 700 million for the benefit of more than 6000 families in Oyamaduwa in the Villachchi­ya Division of the Anuradhapu­ra district.

The massive developmen­t project would cover an area of 26 Km with a power supply of 33,000 Vots, CEB sources said.

The permanent building erected inside the grounds at a cost of Rs. 12.6 million to house the stall of the CEB would in due course be used as a service centre of the CEB for consumers of the Oyamadu area.

It had been projected to provide electricit­y supply to about 6000 families who are without power, under the direction of the subject minister in accordance with the developmen­t programmes initiated in the Anurad- hapura District.forty nine transforme­rs are to be installed under this gigantic proposal, out of which work on 29 had been completed. Overall 85% of the work on this project is now completed.
