How to make candles at home

-

Method First, cut the cotton string to be used as a wick. The usual length would be 3 inches. n Next, find a jar in any size you prefer to make the candle. A good idea would be baby food jars or even a pickle jar.

Clean the jar completely and allow it to dry. nif you want the candle to come out of the jar once it’s made, spray the inside with vegetable oil. If you want the candle inside the jar, you don’t need to spray the vegetable oil.

Next, fill the pot with tap water and place it on the stove. Put the old tin inside the pot and turn the stove on low heat.

Cut the old candles and put them in the tin. Watch them melt. If you prefer the candle to be coloured, crush some crayons and add them to the wax. nonce the wax is in a liquid form, pour it into the jar. nnext, place the wick in the centre of the melted wax in the jar.

When you place the wick, tie the top of it to a pencil and place the pencil over the mouth of the jar. Tape can be used to keep the wick stuck on the pencil.

Leave it to cool and once the cooling is done, you can choose to leave it in the jar or take it out.

Use a knife to take the candle out of the jar.

Cut the wick off the pencil too.

It is important to note that you should never overheat the wax when it is on the stove.
