Three-year-old dies in mishap

A three-year-old boy who was injured when a log hit his head died on admission to the Badulla hospital.

Inquiries revealed that his father was heaping up firewood with his little son standing nearby.

He was taken into custody pending further inquiries by the Badulla police.
