Minister opens training school for dancing
The new building of the National Youth Services Council’s Training School of Dancing and Sri Lanka Independent Workers Association office were declared open recently by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development Dulles Alahapperuma.the new building adjoining the Maharagama “Sri Lanka Youth” building complex was built at a cost Rs. 4 million. The new training school would accommodate 100 students who would follow a course in dancing.present at this occasion was Piyasara Silphadhipathi the versatile exponent of rhythms of Sri Lankan drums and folk songs. The ministry secretary S. S. Hewapathirana, the chairman of the Na- tional Youth Services council Attorney Lalith Pium Perera, president of Independent Workers association Nalin Samarawickrama and Secretary Amal Senaka were also present at the occasion.
