Army shot out for 153 against Panadura SC

Panadura SC bowlers put in a fine bowling performanc­e as they shot the strong Army side, who are the Premier Tier ‘B’ table leaders, for 153 on day one in their match played at Panagoda.

Army invited to take first lease of the wicket fell into deep trouble as they lost their top five batsmen with the score on just 75. Later a knock of 43 by Janith Silva helped them make a respectabl­e score.

Panadura SC in their turn facing 20 overs ended the day on 70 for 2. The match will be continued today.
