Chamara and Chinthaka frustrate NCC bowlers

Bloomfield skipper Chamara Silva and Chinthaka Jayasinghe frustrated the NCC bowlers who were sent on a leather hunt on day one in their Premier Tier ‘ A’ cricket encounter played at Reid Avenue.

The pair slammed unbeaten tons and put on an unbroken stand of 227 runs for the fifth wicket helping Bloomfield amass a mammoth 413 for 4. Chamara and Chinthaka remained unbeaten on 126 and 125 with the former facing 140 balls clobbering 13 boundaries and four sixes while the latter’s knock came in 125 balls which included ten boundaries and five sixes. The match will be continued today.
