Vallibel Power completes 7.2MW mini hydro project

Vallibel Power Erathna PLC (VPEL), a unit of businessman Dhammika Perara controlled Vallible One PLC has completed a mini hydro project, with a capacity of 7.2 megawatt.

VPEL yesterday infor med the Colombo Stock Exchange that the 7.2 megawatt Denawaka Ganga mini hydro power project, belonging to its subsidiary company Country Energy (Pvt.) Ltd. has now commenced commercial operations.

In January this year, VPEL also announced the commercial operation of a 4.65 megawatt Kiriwaneliya mini hydro power project.
