UTE opens upgraded support centre in Anuaradhapura

-

UTE, the sole authorized dealer for Caterpillar products in Sri Lanka, in keeping with their promise ‘the journey continues, long after the sale’, took yet another progressive step towards ensuring continuous customer service, when they upgraded their sales outlet in Anuaradhapura to a complete product support center recently.

The new product support center, located in Godage Mawatha, Anuradhpura was declared open by UTE group Chairman/ceo Priath Fernando, amidst many distinguished guests and a large number of CAT equipment owners and maintenance engineers.

North and North Central provinces are two of the fastest developing areas from an economic and infrastructure point of view in the post war Sri Lanka. In this context, Anuradhapura which serves as the hub of development in North and North Central areas, has been strategically important to UTE, a leading engineering solutions provider in the country. The increasing presence of CAT equipment in these areas demanded the 25-year-old UTE sales outlet to provide CAT users with fully fledged services and UTE, in its constant endeavor to add value to their customers’ product experience, promptly took action to upgrade the sales outlet into a complete product support center.

Speaking after the opening Fernando said, “With the rapid developments taking place in the infrastructure sphere of Sri Lanka, organisations that are engaged in construction activities should revamp and upgrade their service facilities and make them more decentralized to support the progress that is taking place throughout the country. These services should go beyond the mere establishment of outlets; but be more comprehensive to provide service solutions, spare parts, technical inputs, customer care, etc. that will ensure an uninterrupted service to the customer.”

The revamped product support center will thus provide easy access to CAT equipment parts and UTE-CAT services, not only for CAT earth moving machines but also for other CAT equipment such as CAT power generators, material handling equipment and welding equipment, etc.

With the 24-hour stand by service crew and the workshop, equipped to handle minor repairs and overhauls, UTE expects to expedite their response time to customer requirements and thereby save their time as well as expenditure for transport deployment and service hold-ups.

UTE’S Customer Support Division conducted a CAT care seminar on the same day to educate the current CAT customers on ‘Genuine CAT spare parts’ advantage’ and a large number of CAT machine owners and maintenance engineers took part in this seminar.

Marking the day a more significant one, UTE also signed the first service agreement for the North Central Province with Access Telecommunication (Pvt) Ltd.
