ACJU STATEMENT AGAINST GENEVA SESSIONS

-

The All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU), the prime theologians’ councils of Muslims in Sri Lanka has called on the Imams of Jumma Mosques in the country to hold their Jumma sermon next Friday exposing the hypocrisy of the Western world in dealing with human rights.

The ACJU in a statement further asserts the importance of standing up resolutely for the motherland in her time of need.

The countries who were and are directly involved in brutal violations of human rights unparallel in hu

man history and countries hitherto never uttered a single word against such unspeakable crimes are now incredibly mobilising against tiny Sri Lanka, the statement said.

It added that their sinister aim was nothing but selfish in nature rather than sincere advocacy for human rights.

The ACJU says that on behalf of the Muslims as well as of all the communities living in Sri Lanka it vehemently denounces such veiled ruses, which are potential threats to the sovereignty and solidarity of Sri Lanka.

It added that their sinister aim was nothing but selfish in nature rather than sincere advocacy for human rights

“Moreover, we perceive making such unjustifiable allegations at a time when reconciliation is sprouting among different communities in our country that had been divided for decades,” it said Also, the pressure exerted by the Western world would only further hurt the Lankan masses who are trying to build up their peaceful lives after a long suffering that lasted over a quarter of a century due to the ethnic war, the statement said.
