Sadaharitha holds Forestry Awards
Sadaharitha Forestry Awards, the annual award ceremony of Sadaharitha Plantation Ltd was held at Galle Face Hotel under the patronage of a distinguished gathering headed by its Chairman Sathis Nawarathna.
Employees of all divisions including marketing who excelled during the year 2011 were felicitated at this ceremony. Addressing the gathering Sadaharitha Chairman Sathis Nawarathna stated that he was happy and proud to have started environmental-friendly business venture which offers investors the opportunity to yield high returns on their investment, compared to other investment opportunities available, while protecting the environment we live in. Further, he emphasized on the trust placed by customers and the contribution made by its employees which attributed to steady growth of the company over the last few years.
Chief Executive Director H.K. Rohana, Senior Lecturer of t he Department of Forestry and Environment Science at the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura and the Forestry Consultant of Sadaharitha Dr. Upul Subasinghe too addressed the gathering.
Sadaharitha currently has many plantation projects such as mahogani, rambutan, teak and sandalwood that spread across the country and also have created job opportunities to over 500 people. Its marketing division consists of a branch network and a premier division which focuses on the high net worth along with its international arm premier Global. Apart from commercial forestry, Sadaharitha group has diversified its operations in tea export, vegetable and fruit export and water management in large scale.
