Enhancing EU – SL trade and investment relations
The European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (ECCSL) is to hold a forum on “Enhancing EU – Sri Lanka Trade and Investment relations” on March 29.
The focus will be on elaborating EU’S future trade policy and its impact and potential for third world countries like Sri Lanka. The briefing is expected to further draw special attention to some of the large scale infrastructure projects that the Government of Sri Lanka has currently embarked upon and as envisaged in the macro plan for Sri Lanka, that includes all development initiatives in the spheres of public and social infrastructure.
Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa will grace the occasion as Chief Guest.
Ambassador to the Delegation of the European Union to Sri Lanka and Maldives Bernard Savage will deliver a special speech while Pascal Kerneis - Managing Director of European Service Forum will make a presentation on EU external relations and future of EUS Trade policy (The European business perspective).
The forum will also include 5 key presentations on the “Future of Public Infrastructure initiatives in Sri Lanka – Public Private Partnership Opportunities”.
The open forum will be co-chaired by Roshan Lyman – Head of Trade and Politics, delegation of the European Union to Sri Lanka and Maldives and the key representative from the Ministry of Finance and Planning in Sri Lanka.
