JANASHAKTHI AND WOMEN IN MANAGEMENT

Janashakthi Insurance PLC together with Women in Management (WIM) present ‘Abhimani', an inspirational talk show which will be aired on Siyatha TV and will feature a lineup of prominent women personalities including Sri Lanka's first woman President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, Olympic silver medalist Susanthika Jayasinghe, Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake, LOLC and Browns CEO Rohini Nanayakkara, and Attorney General Shanthi Eva Wanasundara,to name a few.
Telecast for thirty minutes every Sunday at 8.30pm, the programme showcases successful women who have been instrumental in shaping their respective spheres of expertise and enjoy success in their professional and personal lives. It aims to inspire and enlighten young Sri Lankan women of the challenges faced by women today and provides a framework for discussion of women's issues and constructive ways of dealing with those challenges.

The proceeds of the programme will be utilised to empower and guide ten single mothers by providing them with the necessary skills to start up their own businesses and have the opportunity to provide for their families and educate their children.
Women in Management, an organisation for professional, career and business-women in Sri Lanka, has implemented and conducted programmes with the aim of inspiring, motivating and uplifting the lives of Sri Lankan women since 2010. The organisation has propelled initiatives targeting women's development through numerous programmes, including the introduction of the country's first Professional and Career Women Awards, motivational forums and CSR projects.
