Heroin seller arrested by police decoy

A young man who was engaged in selling heroin to the fishermen in the Beruwala Fishery Harbour was taken into custody by Beruwala Police.

He had in the possession 80 grams of heroin at the time of arrest. Police deployed a decoy on information from the public and arrested him when he sold a packet of heroin to the decoy.

The suspect was to be produced before Kalutara Magistrate yesterday.
