Court re-remands suspects in A’pura museum theft
Anuradhapura Additional Magistrate Chandima Edirimanna rejected a bail application by two suspects who are in custody for stealing a large number of ancient coins from the Anuradhapura museum and reremanded them till April 16.
The magistrate also ordered the Criminal Investigation Department to further investigate this matter and to forward a progress report to the courts on the next date. The two suspects in remand over the robbery are N.m.dissanayake and Halaldeen Mohamed Kamil.the CID submitting a report to court said that they were unable to locate the stolen coins.
The CID informed the court that further investigations were being conducted.
