President of the National Rifle Association

Rear Admiral Udaya Bandara of the Sri Lanka Navy has been appointed as the President of the National Rifle Association. He was elected unanimously at the Annual General Meeting held with the participation of 16 affiliated shooting clubs in Sri Lanka at the Colombo, Lighthouse Gallery on March 29. Air Vice Marshal Kishan Yahampath, Commodore Darmendra Wettewa, Group Captain (Rtd) R.D. Jayawardene and Michael Daniels were elected as Vice Presidents while Commander Parakrama Galappaththi and Commander Manjula Dissanayake were elected as the General Secretary and the Treasurer respectively at the AGM chaired by Rear Admiral Ravi Wijegunaratne.
