Good Shepherd Convent enter semi finals

Good Shepherd Convent Colombo 13 won all their 3 preliminar­y round matches in their group played at the GSC court on April 1 and 2 and emerged group champions.

Now qualified to play for the semi-finals of the under 17 girls schools Zonal basketball tournament 2012. The Shepherdia­ns will meet the runners-up of Group B battle between St. Pauls Milagiriya vs Holy Family Convent Bambalpiti­ya in the semi-finals to be played in Kotahena on Monday April 9 at 7.00 a.m.

The finals are scheduled to be played at 4.00 p.m. on the same day. Shepherdia­ns are well a balanced side with up and coming talented teenagers, many of whom were members of the 2011 under 13 all island schools champion team.
