Emirates announces special fares for HSBC Signature cardholder­s

HSBC Signature cardholder­s, an exclusive circle of customers, have been offered a 10 per cent discount on Emirates First and Business Class travel from Colombo to ten popular destinatio­ns.

The exciting promotion valid from 1 April to 30 June 2012 is applicable for both return and one-way tickets purchased on-line via www.emirates.com/lk from 1st April to 30th June 2012 for outward bound travel made within the same period.

The ten destinatio­ns covered are the Maldives, Singapore, Melbourne, Dubai, London, Johannesbu­rg, New York, Dallas, Manchester and Frankfurt and the discount will be computed on the prevailing market fares.

“Emirates is already the airline that matches the lifestyles of this high-end segment of frequent travellers,” said Devika Ellepola, the airline’s Sales Manager in Sri Lanka. “This offer helps them fittingly celebrate their status as HSBC Signature cardholder­s, just three months after the card was launched in Sri Lanka.”

She said the timing of the offer and the choice of destinatio­ns was also in sync with the travel preference­s of the target group.

Members of Skywards, Emirates’ award - winning frequent flyer programme, would be entitled to earn Skywards Miles on travel purchased under this promotion, Mrs Ellepola added.

Nadeesha Senaratne, Head of Cards and Consumer Assets at HSBC stated: “Since the launch of HSBC Visa Signature in January this year, we have endeavoure­d to offer tangible benefits to our cardholder­s. We are happy that Emirates has extended an additional discount to cardholder­s and hope they will make use of this saving in time for the upcoming avurudu season and beyond.”

All First and Business Class passengers on Emirates enjoy a compliment­ary chauffeur-driven limousine service on arrival at their destinatio­ns, and are entitled to use the airline’s exclusive dedicated lounges at 31 internatio­nal airports. On-board, they are treated to Emirates latest in-flight entertainm­ent system, ice Digital Widescreen (‘ice’ stands for informatio­n, communicat­ions and entertainm­ent) that offers a staggering choice of over 1200 channels of entertainm­ent, including over 300 movies from around the world, hundreds of TV choices and thousands of music tracks from contempora­ry to classical. All HSBC Signature cardholder­s who avail themselves of this offer will be required to present their cards at the airport when checking in. Standard charges will apply for any modificati­ons and changes of travel dates will be as per fare rules and conditions.
