She told Police that she was abducted and detained forcefully by the suspect who had taken her to Hambantota and Ratnapura

UPFA Bulathsinhala Pradeshiya Sabha member Lakmini Anupama Panditharathne (29) who was abducted at Thebuwana, Warakagoda on May 21 was found yesterday morning after being abandoned in Ratnapura.

Police said she told them that she was abducted and detained forcefully by the suspect who had taken her to Hambantota and later to Ratnapura.

It is also learnt that she had a relationship with the suspect and a per- sonal dispute with him had led to the abduction. The mother of one was abducted by an unidentified group who came in a van when she was at a temple in Warakagoda.

However the main suspect had informed police that she came with him on her own will. But she or the suspect had never came to the Thebuwana police.
