Abans, the leader in electronics and home appliances, marked the 15th anniversary of its Retail Channel with numerous religious observances in Kandy recently.

The celebrations commenced at Sri Dalada Maligawa, where Abans had an alms giving for 100 Buddhist monks and also held a Dansala where food was distributed to over 5000 people.

Simultaneously, a special religious programme was held at Al-Madrasathul Jamilhudah Jumma Mosque, Mawilmada, Kandy. The programme consisted of various events organised by the Madrasa Children, Recitation of Duas (Supplication).

There was also a special Roman Catholic Mass at St. Paul’s Church in Kandy to invoke blessings on the Abans Group of Companies. School uniform material, school books and stationery items were distributed to poor orphans of Innacia Memorial Home for Children, Janaraja Mawatha, Pallegama, Halloluwa and Kandy.

Religious observances were also held at the Hindu Kovil in Kandy. Abans Retail Channel, which today consists of 380 showrooms (excluding Abans Elite Showrooms) was formed 15 years ago to coordinate Abans rapid expansion drive and growth programme in Sri Lanka. Since the end of the war three years ago, Abans has ventured into the cleared up areas and has established showrooms in the North and East where the people of those areas were deprived of quality electronic and electrical home appliances.

Abans offers consumers only proven quality products from reputed international brands together with a trusted guarantee of an efficient and quick after-sales-service. To cope with the demand for a quality service and maintenance facility, Abans has established over 100 Service Centres and Authorized Service Agents island-wide, where customers are assured of a genuine service with genuine spare parts.

Through their island-wide network of showrooms and distributors, Abans has taken its quality products and services within reach of consumers in the remotest towns and villages in Sri Lanka. And what’s more, their flexible interest free installment terms and HP terms have made it easy and affordable to every household.
