ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE PREMIER MUSICAL YOUTH TALENT CONTEST in Sri Lanka
Organized by the Interact Club of Royal College, the oldest active Interact Club in Sri Lanka, Talent Search is a musical extravaganza like no other and has amazed the populous of Colombo since it was first organized in the early 2000's.
Applications for Talent Search 2012 will be accepted till the 31st of May 2012. Audition dates are 1st to 4th of June.
“We (The Interact Club of Royal College) have organised Talent Search to help participants to showcase their hidden talents and help set up a platform for their bright future. We have noticed that currently many young talented artists are in their particular fields are eager to push for the spotlight! Our goal is to show the public what Sri Lankan Youth have got in store!” says Jitendra Uduman, Chairperson, Talent Search 2012.
For the past 12 years, Talent Search has gathered strength and has thrust beyond boundaries hitherto unchallenged by any student organization. With new innovations, new categories and new opportunities being added along the way, the project has grown to unprecedented levels and today, remains to be more than a mere student initiative.
The aim of Talent Search is to showcase the young, growing talents of Sri Lanka and to that end the organizers do not focus on any single talent, but aim to encompass a vast array of talents under several categories. As such, Talent Search has been recognized as the one of the premiere talent competitions focusing on the student community.
As a testament to its high standards, Talent Search has been nominated for, and won the All-Island Best Finance Project award within the Interact Movement of Sri Lanka.
Talent Search 2012 will be held at the Vihara Maha Devi Open Air Amphitheatre on the 22nd of June from 6.00pm onwards. It is a unique chance to witness the rising Talents of Sri Lanka.
This year's Talent Search is open to the public within the age group of 14 – 19. If you can sing, dance, play an instrument or even Beat Box, Talent Search is the competition for you. Auditions will be held on the following days, for each respective category, at the Royal College Union.
