Thurstan in thrilling win over S.thomas’

Thurstan began the Under 17 cricket tournament with a thrilling two wicket with one ball to spare win over S. Thomas’ in their Division One encounter played at Mt Lavinia.

S. Thomas’ taking first lease of the wicket made a modest score of 239 with Helakamala Nannyakkar­a making a top score of 116 and Thilaksha Sumanasiri chipping with an unbeaten 73.

Thurstan in their run chase despite losing wickets at regular intervals succeeded in reaching the target with Raveesha Lokuge making an unbeaten 43.
