LIFT GRADUATION 2012

TO INTRODUCE NEW DESIGNERS TO THE FASHION INDUSTRY THE EVENT WILL BE DIRECTED BY LIFT, CHOREOGRAPHED BY LOU CHING WONG, OFFICIAL VENUE IS GALADARI HOTEL AND THE OFFICIAL HAIRDRESSER IS SALON RAMZI.

LIFT Graduate Fashion Show 2012 is another event to showcase young creative talent in fashion, trained in Sri Lanka by the first and foremost fashion education institute, Lanka institute of Fashion Technology (LIFT). Among 50 graduates there will be 22 designers showcasing their collections on the ramp on 24th June 2012 at the Hotel Galadari – Grand Ballroom.

The Diploma graduates will be presenting their collections based on the theme of “Asia tropic style”, each drawing inspiration from their own research topics and concepts. Sankapalee Wickramasinghe, Ishani Wekunagoda, Venuka Wickramarachi, Natasha Fernando and Neroli Daniel are the diploma graduates showing collections on this day.

Amarsha De Silva, Suzette Schokman, Akhila Karunaratne, Shehara Weerakoon, Thamali Jayaweera, Aaliya Mohamed, Sulochana Pinto, Sandalini Perera, Shamara Alles, Nayomi Perera, Duminda Thalagala, Gavithri Samaratunga, Chathurika Ileperuma, Shanaz Samseer, Niwarthana Edirisinghe and Shehara Perera are the Advanced Diploma graduates who will be showcasing collections on various themes unique to them.

This year there will be an award ceremony where the Advanced Diploma students' collections will be judged by a panel of International judges including Mr. Hemant Trevedi - leading Indian designer and Ms.Emmeline Child - from the University of Northampton – UK for three award categories.
