Nations Trust Bank (NTB), a key player in the financial services industry reiterated its commitment towards expansion with the opening of its 52nd branch in Wennappuwa recently. Situated at the foot of the Puttalam District being a gateway to the North Western Province, Wennappuwa is known to have been a progressiv­e town with an economy dependent on farming and fisheries but however today is a major contributo­r of a large amount of foreign remittance­s to the economy.
