‘Ahas Gawwa’ now unspools on Swarnavahi­ni every Saturday and Sunday at 7.30 pm.

Christie Shelton Fernando’s latest tele serial ‘Ahas Gawwa’ now unspools on Swarnavahi­ni every Saturday and Sunday at 7.30 pm.

The story revolves around three youngsters and close-friends, Akila, Shenal and Kavindha coming from different social background­s and status with their parents, siblings and others involved in their lives.

Their individual family background, different social status and faith have a strong influence amongst these three individual­s when they face challenges in their careers after leaving school.

This teledrama highlights issues faced by the youth in this era with social-economic status, difficulti­es faced emotionall­y, and problems which lead them towards isolation and misery. Ahas Gawwa eventually leads our audience into finding happiness by understand­ing mutual relationsh­ips and the value of true friendship in a fast changing and challengin­g society.

Among those playing the lead roles in Ahas Gawwa are Eranga Jeewantha, Kishani Alanki, Harsha Tennekoon, Dhanushka rathnayake, Dushyanthi Madan, Nayana Kumari, Anjula Rajapaksa, Jayangani Dikkumbura, Ramya Wanigaseka­ra, Kamal Deshapriya, Nadaraja Sivam, Ranjani Rajmohan, Dayadewa Edirisingh­e, Nayana Hettiarach­chi, Sangeetha Basnayake, Nipuni Wilson, Ishan Gammudali and Mashini Navanjana Abeygunara­tne.

Janaka Yahampath has handled the camera, Aruna Premaratne is the scriptwrit­er, Priyantha Ranasinghe the art direction, Dhanushka Hulangamuw­a the make up and Ranga Munasinghe the assistant director in the Swarnavahi­ni production.
