K B brings Kalu Kumari tomorrow

k.B. is the leading sinhala dramatist who had produced original dramas, for the last four to five decades and has won state drama awards, for almost all his previous productions.

Veteran dramatist, K.B. Herath of Maya Devi, Naaga Gurula, Dona Katharina, Devani Mahinda,Vasudeva,Yasodhara and Jaganma fame, will unveil his latest stage production Kalu Kumari at the Bishop’s College Auditorium tomorrow August 21 and August 22. K.B. is the leading Sinhala dramatist who had produced original dramas, for the last four to five decades and has won State Drama Awards, for almost all his previous productions. K.B. is recognized as a tele drama script writer too.

Kalu Kumari’s main cast comprises, popular and talented artistes including Madhani Malwatta, Nalin Pradeep Udawela,Sumith Ratnayake, Ferny Roshini and Chandrasoma Binduhewa. Dulanjani Wijesena, Nishan Deshapriya, Pinsara Samarasekara, Uditha Sameera Liyanage and Kelum Kalhari Gamlath are in the chorus. Kalu Kumari has been written and directed by K.B.Herath, while the music is composed by Shantha Pieris. Sweneetha Perera and Kamal Kanthi Bogoda have designed the Costumes while Buddhadasa Galappatty and Prakash Galgewala handle the make up. Choreography by Mahesh Umagiliya. Pradeep Kariyawasm has designed the Stage Decor. Keerthi K. Ratnayake is the Stage Manager of Kalu Kumari.
