Srilankan offers exciting deals for students

-

SriLankan Airlines is offering students discounted air tickets and excess baggage when they travel overseas for studies, as part of their ‘Student Triple Bonanza’ promotion that will run till the end of March, 2013.

Students pursuing higher studies in countries that come under the airline’s network of online destinations including the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Malaysia, Singapore, China, India and Russia are entitled to this offer. They will receive a five percent discount on their first online air ticket purchase for travel between the home country and country of study. On all subsequent online purchases of tickets, the student will receive a 10 percent discount. Parents of the student are also entitled to this latter discount, so they can visit their child at a more affordable cost. Students will receive an extra baggage allowance of 10KG, in addition to the stipulated, general baggage allowance, when they travel between the home country and country of study. This would be especially useful, since a student remains overseas for an extended period of time, and it enables them to carry more necessities and favourite items along.

Students who wish to make use of these benefits are first required to register for the promotion on the SriLankan website and enrol with the frequent flyer programme of the airline, FlySmiLes.

FlySmiLes is designed to make loyal customers of the airline feel special and important by providing a wide range of benefits including reward tickets, reward upgrades, excess baggage, and priority check-in as well as various promotions carried out periodically. The program has a large member base and a growing partner base comprising leisure, travel and lifestyle sectors, enabling members to earn and redeem Miles whenever they use partner services or products.
