COMSAA celebrates anniversary on Sept. 9

-

The 142-yearold Colombo Medical Faculty has been the backbone of the medical profession in Sri Lanka. The past graduates of this Medical School formed an Alumni Association last year and they have organised a Scientific Congress and Reunion at the Bentota Beach Hotel on Sunday September 9, 2012 from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. This event will celebrate the first anniversary of the Colombo Medical School Alumni Association (CoMSAA).

The Scientific Congress in the morning will showcase some of the splendid achievements of the alumni. It would be followed by lunch and the social events of the reunion with a musical extravaganza, games, fun and frolic. This will be a great opportunity to all doctors who qualified from Colombo to renew old friendships, meet each other and bring back the nostalgia of past years. A souvenir too has been published for the occasion. The Organising Committee has spared no pains to ensure that this first reunion will be one to remember for years to come. There is an open invitation to all alumni, the young and the not so young alumni, to come with their families to this historic reunion and spend a memorable day. It is not necessary for them to be members of the Alumni Association to take part in the event. Just being alumni would be all that is required. Transport from Colombo too has been arranged for those who need it.

Further details regarding all arrangements including tickets and transport could be obtained from Dr.. Shalika Nagasinghe (077-5179862) or Dr. Hasitha Gunasekera (071-8329428).
