‘The Issue of Sovereignty in a Changing World Order’

The third informal discussion of the IR Evenings will take place on Friday, 7 September from 5.30 p.m. onwards at the Classroom 7-106 at the BCIS.

The session will be on ‘The issue of Sovereignty in a changing World Order’ and will be conducted by Dr. Rohan Perera.

Dr. Rohan Perera, P.C. was the Legal Advisor of the Foreign Ministry and a member of International Law Commission. Dr. Perera has served for over 30 years in the Foreign Ministry. He was the chairman of the UN ad-hoc Committee on Measures to Eliminate International Terrorism which recently concluded the Inter- national Convention on the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism.

Dr. Perera also served as a member of the group of legal advisors and constitutional experts appointed by the President to advice the All Party Representatives Committee on a constitutional framework. He was a member of LLRC Commission as well.

The event is open to the public. All former students of BCIS are also.
