Assets frozen

Colombo High Court froze the assets, valued at Rs.185 million, of an alleged drug kingpin named Samantha Kumara (alias “Wele Suda”) and his family.

Five luxury houses in Nedimale, Dehiwala, Wijeyrama Road Colombo, Bagatalle Road and the Rajagiriya area were among the assets frozen.

Also three vehicles, including a BMW car, and jewellery worth a million rupees were seized.

The CID is on the lookout for anyone who tries to earn money illegally.
