It is the third SEAL (SEa, Air and Land) training exercise and will be held for 15 days in the Trincomalee area, starting on Monday.
The training will focus on improving de- cision making, commanding and efficiency in deciding command capabilities at a given situation. The exercise will be carried out in order to enhance the efficiency of the armed forces. It is a joint exercise involving the Army, Navy and the Air Force.
The Army and the Navy will be the two main players in the exercise as troops will land on land by coming from sea. Then they will be given a specific task to carry out. The training exercise is a brainchild of the Army Commander Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya.
