More players in Shanghi Sevens Rugby Pool
Sri Lankan rugby outfit fresh from their Boreno Sevens Bowls win under the leadership of young Srinath Sooriyabandara and coached by former England Sevens skipper Ben Gollings will vie for honour at the next sevens stop in Shanghai. The Shanghai Sevens will be worked off on September 22 and 23 at the Yuashen Stadium.
China, Hong Kong, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taipei, UAE and Sri Lanka lock horns in this two day competition for the HSBC Asian Sevens series.
The side is currently training in Colombo and the national selectors have added another set of players who have done well during the recent League Tournament.
They are: Cilanka Sudaraka (CR & FC), Musheen Faleel (CR & FC), Chula Susantha (SL Navy SC), Chanaka Candimal (SL Navy), Shanaka Kumara (Police SC), Dilip Selvam (Upcountry Lions), Lee Keegal (Havelock SC), Sudarshana Muthuthanthri (Havelock SC), Gayan Weeratne (Kandy SC), Abdul Jabbar (Kandy SC), Charith Seniviratne (Air Force SC), Romesh Archarige (Police SC).
