SLIIT organises Robofest 2012

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at SLIIT will once again host the exciting event RoboFest this year. The competition, open to school students and undergraduates islandwide, will see an even larger lineup of participants than those in previous years vying for exciting prizes. The competition will be held at the SLIIT Malabe Campus on September 13 and 14, 2012. RoboFest is SLIIT’s annual robotic competition which aims to exhibit the robot design talents of students from around the country. Participants must build a robot that can perform a task according to the given criteria, which includes navigating their robot to the goal by detecting the arrows placed on the platform while avoiding obstacles. This year’s competition will include categories for participants from universities and schools.
