The 20th Singer - MCA “Premier League” “Knock Out” cricket tournament will get underway tomorrow. The partici- pating teams are MAS Active (Pvt), MAS Unichela (Pvt) Ltd., Sampath Bank, Hatton National Bank., Seylan Bank, John Keells Group, Edirisinghe Trust Investments (ETI). The league stage matches will be conducted on a single group/Round Robin comprising 21 matches, with all the paraphernalia used for One Day Internationals (ODI) ie.

The 20th Singer - MCA “Premier League” “Knock Out” cricket tournament will get underway tomorrow.

The participating teams are MAS Active (Pvt), MAS Unichela (Pvt) Ltd., Sampath Bank, Hatton National Bank., Seylan Bank, John Keells Group, Edirisinghe Trust Investments (ETI)

The league stage matches will be conducted on a single group/Round Robin comprising 21 matches, with all the paraphernalia used for One Day Internationals (ODI) ie. White ball, coloured stumps, black side screens, the latest ICC Playing Conditions up to October 2012. Duckworth and Lewis method and players attired in coloured clothing

During the round-robin stage all teams will play each other once and at the completion of the league, the team emerging on top of the points table will be declared as the league winners.

Matches will be conducted from tomorrow to November 18 (inclusive of both days) spread around five grounds, namely NCC, Bloomfield, Colts, Moors and De Soysa Park, Moratuwa.

The Knock out segment will be conducted with same seven teams, comprising six matches.

The quarter finals will be worked off on November 24 the semi finals on November 27 (Poya Day) and the final and awards on December 1, 2012 at the Colombo Colts Cricket Club ground.

The MCA hand picked match referees for both segments are Basil Perera, Upali Warnapura, K.H. Nandasena, Nalliah Devarajan and Mahesh Jayasekera.

Special Awards: Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Man of the Series and Emerging Player for the League stage and Man-of-the-Match in the knock-out final.

Singer Sri Lanka will once again present (in addition to the other awards) a Color TV to the Man of the Series
